Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to Robots and Pixels, including our current tools such as Mehxel and RoboDoc, and also to any other current or future apps, tools, features, tutorials, physical projects, kiosks, downloads, experiments, and services we create, operate, offer, test, change, or discontinue, whether or not they are specifically named here.
Overview
We try to collect as little personally identifiable information as practical. We do not sell personal information. We may collect limited information needed to operate, secure, improve, and understand use of the services.
Information We May Collect
Depending on how you use the services, we may collect:
- content you create, upload, edit, or share, such as pixel art, documents, markdown files, comments, prompts, metadata, and collaborative edits;
- messages, support requests, or feedback you send us;
- basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, and general usage information;
- cookies and similar technologies used to understand how people use the services, where they may generally be coming from, and how we can improve performance and functionality.
How We Use Information
We may use information to operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, improve, analyze, and expand the services, to understand usage patterns, to measure performance, to communicate with you if you contact us, and to enforce our terms and protect users and the public.
Cookies and Usage Analytics
We may use cookies, logs, and similar technologies to understand usage patterns, estimate general geographic origin, improve the services, measure performance, and see which tools or features are being used. We generally do not want to collect more personally identifiable information than is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, security providers, and similar vendors that help us operate the services.
Public and Shared Content
Some services are designed for sharing or public display.
Mehxel and similar tools may allow art to be displayed publicly, shared online, downloaded, or shown through kiosks, installations, galleries, demos, or event recaps related to the service.
RoboDoc may allow viewing and editing through a URL alone, without accounts or identity verification. Anyone who has the URL may be able to access, view, edit, copy, export, share, or delete the document.
Please do not submit personal, sensitive, confidential, regulated, or irreplaceable information into public or link-based tools.
Retention and Deletion
We may retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Some content may be stored only temporarily and may be deleted with or without notice.
For example, RoboDoc documents may be permanently deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
We do not promise backups, archival storage, or recovery of deleted or lost content unless we expressly say otherwise for a specific service.
Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for a general audience unless expressly stated otherwise. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 in a manner requiring consent without taking appropriate steps required by law.
Security
We use reasonable measures to help protect information, but no system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Services
We may use third-party hosting, infrastructure, analytics, communication, or security providers. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the services after changes become effective means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
